It’s roughly estimated that 23 out of 30 million Nepali citizens live in areas defined as rural. Commonly, they are all facing the new reality for villages in Nepal.
Dhuskun is no exception. The mountain village in the central north of Nepal is struggling with massive youth migration, leaving behind the elderly. Those remaining are facing the health struggles that come with life in the village, while having to tend soil that can no longer provide what it used to. But in the village of the north, the sun still rises over the mountain tops every day; Providing warmth to the villagers, so that they may give warmth back.
