The migrant workers at the Chhampi brick factory have only half a day off in a week. Despite relocating from rural Nepal and India for a six- month stint, they brought cherished belongings, yearning for comforts of home in cramped living quarters. Driven by my own experience of identity misrepresentation as an indigenous person from Bangladesh,
I photographed them, the way they wanted to be represented, against the factory’s dusty backdrop.
