“If being in love is not a crime, then why, when a Dalit and non-Dalit person falls in love our society see it as a crime and decide to take the laws into their own hands. In my previous marriage, I didn’t receive any love, it was an abusive relationship. I tried to attempt suicide multiple times. Eventually realizing that I don’t need his love, I will love myself”, Pabitra says.
She found new love in Santosh, despite public perception.
